StreamJam Update: New Artist Tools and SXSW

Posted on April 7, 2011

We’re proud to announce the launch of a major new update: the web tools and website that go along with StreamJam. The web tools allow artists to:

• Schedule, edit and delete their own events through the web;
• Enhance their profile, change their location or stream, and personalize their event details;
• View their coin balances and show attendance stats after their events

We debuted the new artist tools at the SXSW 2011 Interactive Trade Show, earlier this month. Together with the RFW, we streamed 3 days worth of live music from our booth, including jazz pianist/organist/composer Marco Benevento, Island Def Jam recording acts MONA and Chapel Club, and other rising artists including the Ross Sea Party, Jamie Drastik, Eatliz, The Electric, Loyal Divide, The Golden Dogs, Dinosaur Bones and Kosha Dillz. We also streamed all four nights of the 60 band, 40,000+ attendee All Together Now showcase from the Bayou Lounge on 6th Street in Austin.

The experience at SXSW, our first, was extremely worthwhile and productive for us, both in terms of the opportunity to work with so many bands, and the opportunity to meet so many new people in music, technology, and media. We’re working on new partnerships with the contacts we’ve made at SXSW, and anticipate that we will have new updates to announce soon!
